TECH TREK

Community Support For Tech Trek

Laurel Gromer, a member of the Native Daughters of the Golden West, presents Misty diVittorio of the AAUW Foothills branch a gift for Tech Trek sponsorship. Laurel organized the sale of poinsettias over the holiday season to raise funds for our branch’s Tech Trek program.

Our Foothills Branch of AAUW has recently been graciously gifted generous donations for its Tech Trek program.   Our many donors are instrumental in sponsoring this science, technology, arts and math program that enables middle school girls to attend a summer camp at U.C. Davis and an online program that “exposes them to a wide variety of STEM fields and occupations through hands-on experience in classes, workshops and demonstrations. The campers hear from women STEM professionals and receive guidance to help them prepare for their own future careers, including the critical next step of choosing the right classes in high school.” These donations help sponsor girls who otherwise may not have been able to attend such a program.

In addition to many individual donors, we are grateful to the following people and organizations:

  • Youngdahl Consulting Group, Inc
  • The Latrobe Fund
  • Sutter Mill Parlor 336 Native Daughters of the Golden West

Annual Supporters:

  • Soroptimists Placerville
  • Soroptimists El Dorado Hills-Cameron Park
