Membership is open to anyone holding an associate or equivalent (RN), baccalaureate or higher degree from a regionally accredited college or university. AAUW values and seeks a diverse membership. There shall be no barriers to full participation in this organization on the basis of gender, race, creed, age, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, or class.

Student Affiliation is open to anyone who does not already hold an undergraduate degree and is enrolled in a two-or four-year regionally accredited educational institution.

Because AAUW is a 501(c)(3) charitable membership organization, most of your national dues are tax deductible on your personal federal income tax return.

For new and renewing members to our branch, you can print the application and mail it through the postal service, or you can complete the application form online with our branch and mail in your check.  Whichever way you choose, make checks payable to: AAUW Foothills of El Dorado or just AAUW.

*$72 of your National AAUW dues is now deductible as a charitable contribution for federal income tax purposes; State and Local dues are not deductible. Student dues are $18.81, of which $16.81 is tax-deductible. AAUW national life membership is $1,440 and is fully tax deductible.
